NOTICE OF SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING

Ormond Glenhuntly Baseball Club Inc. (OGBC) gives notice of a Special General Meeting for the purpose of considering a special resolution to change its Rules/constitution.

The Special General Meeting will take place as follows:
Friday 20th March 2015 at 6:15 pm
Caulfield Park Pavilion
280 Balaclava Road
Caulfield North, VIC 3161

(same as presentation night)

The purpose of the Special General Meeting is to consider a proposed change of the Rules / constitution of Ormond Glenhuntly Baseball Club Inc.

Under Section 50 of the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (The Act) (which replaced the previous Associations Incorporation Act 1981) an Incorporated Association such as OGBC may, by Special Resolution, alter its Rules. Any alteration of the Rules does not take effect unless and until the alteration is approved by the Registrar of Incorporated Associations.

Further, The Act requires that for a Special Resolution to be passed at a General Meeting at least 75% of the members of the association voting at the meeting, whether in person or by proxy, vote in favour of the Resolution.
